Every song is a magic journey… a brief excursion to a unique location… a snapshot of a day in the life of a wayfaring balladeer. From the amusing All You Got Tonight (a comical glimpse into the secret world of rural honky tonk) to the haunting Sadie, this album delivers.

The title cut cries out a sentiment we have all felt before and the smoking guitar echoes those emotions like a voice on a slippery canyon wall. Follow that with Destiny, a romantic boat ride down a river of starlight, complete with swaying palms and soft breezes. The Search is moody and melodic, and tells a story that may well be thousands of years old.

Much of this CD is downright funny! The Piggy Song is hilarious. (Where does this stuff come from?) Anyone who has ever played golf will love the droll Follow That Ball. And who hasn't had a Little Bit O' Blues? Just listening to this song has been known to cure it.

There are some mighty musicians on board. Rich more than ably handles the bass and rhythm guitar and shines on harmonicas… lots of different harmonicas played lots of different ways. Then there is "Fast Eddie" Cook. His soulful screaming guitar is woven deeply into this music and worth the price of admission by itself. Add veteran keyboard player "Uncle Ray" Fetzer and back it up with the stout and steady Steve Vaughn on drums. What you have is a rock solid band bridging the ever widening gap between technique and taste. These guys rock!! It is easy to hear they have been playing together for years.
